Saha has been preferred as Kohli confirmed the news for the first Test

India

Rishabh Pant is the most discussed player in Indian cricket these days. The talented youngster is struggling with his form. After the World cup the chief selector of India says that Pant will be our first choice wicket keeper in all three formats.

But in West Indies pant fails to score runs in all three formats. He got out by playing useless shots again and again. And many journalists from India feels that India should give a break to Pant like Kl Rahul. And give chance to any other deserving player. They says that Pant should play in domestic cricket and improve his technique. But on the other hand many experts  and cricketers feels that India should give a long chance to Pant. Because Pant is a type of player who can win you matches. Indian top player Yuvraj Singh also feels that India should give more chances to Pant. Once Ramiz Raja says that Pant is a lottery type of a player. Who can be a genuine match winner for India in a future. Indian head coach Ravi Shastri once said that Pant is a world class player and can be a super star in the future.

Test series between India and South Africa is just around the corner. Before the series Kl Rahul is the man who was dropped. But there is a big question mark on Pant’s form is well. Wriddiman Saha is the back up wicket keeper for India in their last test series. But now Kohli tells the name of a wicket keeper for the first test against South Africa. In a big move, India wicket-keeper Rishabh Pant has been dropped from the Test team for the first encounter against South Africa. Ahead of Pant, Wriddhiman Saha will be the wicket keeper for India in a first test. Appart from his batting Pant also struggles with his wicket keeping as well. Now it will be a big challenge for Saha also. If Saha performs then it will be a worrying sign for Pant. The last time Saha appeared in Test for India was in January 2018 against South Africa. In 32 appearances for the country Saha has scored 1164 runs at an average of 30.63.
