Jasprit Bumrah is one the best fast bowler in modern day cricket. He is not playing limited overs cricket for India regularly for India as the right arm pacer is focusing on the longer format of the game. He hasn’t played any T20 International or One day International for India since the World Cup 2019.
In the recent series he was the man who spoils the batting lineup of Windies. After the series he jumped to number 3 in International Cricket Council (ICC) bowlers ranking. India is currently playing the home series vs South Africa. The home team have won the second T20 while South Africa have won the third one. Every one is looking for the test series. But before the test series the home side hit by a bad news. India’s key man and the MRF ranked number 3 bowler has been ruled out of India’s test series against South Africa with a “Minor stress fracture in his lower back”. Umesh Yadav will replace him in the squad.
Bumrah has performed outstandingly for India over the last few years. According to many ex cricketers he is the Virat Kohli of Indian bowling. He’s record is phenomenal in home and away from home. He bowl well in South Africa, England and in Australian conditions. According to some experts it is the different action of Bumrah which makes him special and different from others. In the Windies series he swings the bowl in both ways which is the dream of every fast bowler. Indian bowling lineup is one the best bowling in longest format. With the combination of Shami,Ishant and Bumrah it is never going to be an easy one for any opposition to score freely against this trio. But in the absence of Bumrah South Africa definitely has the advantage. And they will be hoping for doing well against India in the absence of India’s best bowler.
