After Shoaib Akhtar, Javed Miandad also slammed Sri Lankan players

After Shoaib Akhtar, Javed Miandad also slammed Sri Lankan players who opted them out of the squad against Pakistan for upcoming series which starts from 27th of September to 9th of October in Karachi and Lahore respectively.

Sri Lanka will play first full series except (Test) at the moment since 2009 after Bus attack in Lahore. After the Bus attack, teams like Zimbabwe, Windies, (Sri Lanka for only T20Is) have visited while World XI also have contributed.

Although many legends like Hashim Amla, Faf Du Plessis, Darren Sammy, David Miller, Morne Morkal, Tim Paine and others have visited, some during PSL as well but Sri Lankan players like Angelo Mathews, Thisara Perera, Lasith Malinga, Chandimal opted them out of the series.

It was so nice of Udana who made himself available for the series even after the announcement. Some players like him have earned the respect from entire World of cricket. But embarrassing to see Sri Lankan senior players have opted out, on which Javed Miandad slammed them for their behavior. He believes, Sri Lankan Board should penalize them for their behavior. Players should give priority to International Cricket, he reckons.

Not only Javed Miandad but Ramiz Raja and Shoaib Akhtar also have shown their disappointment on the matter. They believe, Sri Lankan players should come step forward to revive International Cricket in Pakistan as Pakistan always have helped other board on such issues. Recently Pakistan have also sent their junior team to Sri Lanka after terror attack in Sri Lanka.  Pakistan’s nation wanted same from Lankan side but unfortunately it doesn’t come in their way.

After opting out of some senior players, Pakistan have lost all the hardwork but they are still hoping for best. As many superstars may come to Pakistan for Pakistan Super League season 5. With that fans could enjoy playing bigger names.
