Australia cricket news

Pat Cummins has equalled the legendary Glenn McGrath’s feat while achieving his career best rankings in Test with 912 which are the joint greatest rattings for any Aussies bowler.

Glenn McGrath achieve the same ratings against the same opposition at the Oval in 2001 Ashes series in England. these ratings are the fifth best for any bowler in the history of the Test cricket.

Steve Smith’s back to back centuries at Edgbaston saw him move upto the rankings with the only difference of the 8 ratings with Virat Kohli to reclaim his first spot, while it also could happen without playing if Virat Kohli fails to deliver against Windies in the Test match which is going to be held on Thursday 22nd August.

Dimuth Karunaratne has also moved 4 spot to gain 8-ranks in the lastest ICC rankings which is also his best ever rank in his entire career, while Ben Stokes also moved to the 26th spot in the lastest rankings. But Joe Root has seen a worst phase as he falls to rank at 9 from 6 after his failure innings in Ashes.

The replacement of Steve Smith in the 2nd Ashes Test also saw him to reach to the 82nd rank after Smith falling into the ground with furious pace off Jofra Archer.

Travid Head also has become the highest runs getter for Aussies this year while debutante Jofra Archer also gained few of the ratings in his account after impressive debut.
