Although Chris Gayle has denied to take retirement from ODIs cricket and said that all were rumours as he didn’t take any kind of retirement from ODIs cricket, even though he raised his bat to the pavilion after hitting 72 of 41 deliveries and got greetings by all Indian players on the field.

He also scored 60 runs and took 5/60 in the same ODI in the same series against Zimbabwe.

2: Chris Gayle has most no. of 150+ scored for Windies as he has scored 5 times although, Rohit Sharma “7” David Warner “6” and Sachin Tendulkar with “5” are the other players with 150+ scores.

3: Chris Gayle is the only Windies ODI player who has got 10000+ runs and 100+ wickets, no has got this record for Windies as he has scored 10480 and has taken 167 wickets in his ODI career.

4: Chris Gayle has played longest career for Windies with 19years and 337days, previous was Marlon Samuel who played 17+years for Windies and Chris Gayle is also at 4th spot with longest ODI career.

5: The fastest fifty for Windies also belongs to Chris Gayle as he scored a fastest fifty on 19 balls against England in this year’s march.

6: Chris Gayle is also 9th player in ODI history who has got 25 or more centuries in ODI career and is the only Windies player as no any Windies player even has crossed 20 centuries.

7: 39 sixes in home series is the largest numbers that Chris Gayle has hit in home series against England this year, he has also scored 25+ sixes in single series/tournament, Chris Gayle has hit 26 sixes in 2015 World Cup that stands at 2nd spot in the list of most sixes.

16: Chris Gayle has made 791 runs in Champions Trophy in 17 innings are the most runs for any player in the CT and he is also only player to hit 101 fours in the league while he has hit 3 joint most centuries in the league as well.

17: He ended his ODI career with most no. of runs for Windies by beating Brian Lara’s tally of 10425 runs, and he is also only player to hit 3 times 55 scores for World XI in 2005.
