ICC announced new rankings for the Test batsmen
In recent times International Cricket Council came up many times to change the rankings for the batsmen in Test Cricket, may be there are the several reasons behind because Steven Smith has been banned for the year by the cricket Australia with the his teammate David Warner who is now at the fourth position in latest rankings for the batsmen.
England and India played total of three test matches in the tour till now where the twist turn around after every test match in which players failed and gaining some real points to his name, Virat Kohli has achieved the number one rank after the first test match but failed to maintained and lost the first position after the 2nd test match but in the third test match when both the teams clashed each other he made the most of the his form and regain his first spot of the scoring 97 runs in the first innings and 103 runs in the 2nd innings which means 200 runs in the match which he did in the first test match as well where he made 149 runs in first innings and 51 runs in the 2nd innings of the match.
In both the test matches he exactly made 200 runs in each match but in the 2nd test match he failed to maintain it, David Warner and Kane Williamson also promoted by the ICC in latest rankings because of the poor form of the Joe Root who was at the third spot before the test series and David Warner who was at the 5th is also now at the 4th in latest rankings according to the ICC and Joe Root replaced David Warner at 5th spot now.
