India first inning of the match
England won the toss and never at the short of surprising package, after electing the bat. Pitch was supportive for the fast seamers but team India was short of one pacer as they dropped Umesh Yadav to bring Kuldeep who was suppose to be nothing as the pitch was made for the only fast bowlers.
When India came to bat they had not any chance to survive on green top pitch as their top two batsmen went for just few runs and James Anderson took the wicket of Murli Vijay for duck, but everything was good apart of surprising dismissal of Pujara who was ran himself out when everything was solid apart that dismissal. After that wicket India forget to play on bundled out just for 107 runs in their first innings of the match.
England dominance in the batting
England’s start was not impressive as well as their top order went to hut just below fifty runs, but the whole day was suppose to be just for two players, one couldn’t complete his hundred as Bairstow dismissed for 93 runs, and other batsman who was playing well with him had completed his first ever test century that’s too in home of cricket as England ended their innings on the 396 runs when they declared their first inning.
India failed again with the bat
As soon as India came to bat James once again ready to face them off and make them their way for dugout as once again james out the Murli Vijay who begged pair of the ducks in the match, and india’s top order once again flop on the green pitch which was became the friendly surface for batting side but they failed badly as England shine and won the match with the inning remain and 159 runs.
